Saddleback enters season two of women's flag football and is looking to build on a year when they finished 12-5 and ranked No. 22 in the nation according to womenscollegeflagfootball.com.
Saddleback got off to a quick start on Sunday, defeating Redlands, 12-6, in the opening game before beating Hope International, 18-14, in the late game.
Saddleback had a quick start in both games. Kirra Clavijo hit Grace Goedhart for a touchdown pass in the opening game for a quick lead. In the second game, Clavijo threw a short pass to Breanna Sandmark, who proceeded to race 58 yards for a score to the start the second game.
Saddleback is scheduled for a home-opener on February 11 when it hosts Ventura College. The Bobcats and Pirates are scheduled to kick off at 3:00 PM.
